Rodrigo Runs Off: An Autism Adventure chapbook (Signed limited edition)

Rodrigo Runs Off: An Autism Adventure is our first picture book. We are publishing it as a chapbook to keep expenses down while proving there is a small but dedicated readership for niche books like this. (Well, with one in 60 school-aged kids diagnosed with autism a few years ago, we think “niche” is a relative term.)

We are donating all profits from this book to the Autism Society of Oregon, who exhausted their entire emergency relief fund within the first two months of the pandemic in 2020. If we sell out of the first print run and do more, or print hardcovers for libraries, we will donate the profits from those sales as well also.

Nif Lindsay, (the author and co-founder of Paper Playground Press) is not taking any funds from the sale of this book, and Aki Ruiz, the illustrator, took a smaller advance. Because we put our money where our mission is. Rodrigo Runs Off: Aan Autism Adventure is more than a colorful romp through a park, it’s a story of a community coming together to be supportive. With humor and whimsy and deliberate dialogue, it’s a small treasure for small hands in a bigger world.

This special edition is signed and numbered like a fine art print: only 100 copies made.
